There are lots of materials on the internet talking about how to double or triple boot a Macbook Pro Retina. I was however not able to go it through. After many trials and erros, I now can do a triple boot. Here are the summaries of how I made it. Many informations are from the internet.

1. Use BootCamp to install the windows. My Mac has a 500G SSD. Since I am not a Mac fan, I allocate 100G for the Mac OSX.

2. I am not a windows fan either. I allocate 150G for windows 8.

3. Download the Ubuntu 14.10.

4. Use the UnetBootIn to do the bootup USB stick.

5. Since the Ubuntu 14.10 was not able to recognise the wifi card on the Macbook Pro, you are suggersted to use a USB wifi card instead.

6. Press Option key when you hear the chime of the Mac. Choose the EFI USB boot up icon.

7. Select "try without installation Ubuntu"

8. After going into Ubuntu operation system, double clicks the install Ubuntu

9. I allocate 50GB for / (ext4) <-- in may case, it is sda5

10. I allocate 150GB for /home (ext4)

11. I allocate 4GB for swap

12. Be sure to put the bootup in the sda5, where the Ubuntu system is installed. DO NOT put in the sda1 or sda, where it should be the windows bootup disk. You are going to ruin the windows system if you put the bootup in the sda1.

13. After installation, select keep evaluate the Ubuntu system.

14. Open an Xterm, type in sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade; sudo apt-get install efibootmgr

15. sudo efibootmgr

16. You should find the Ubuntu is on 00001. sudo efibootmgr -o 1,80

17. sudo apt-get install bcmwl-kernel-source, this will install the driver for the wifi card on the Macbook Pro.

18. Now you change the first boot operation system to be the Ubuntu, which means when you press nothing during bootup, it will going into the Ubuntu system.

19. If you want to go into the Mac OSX or Windows, simply press Option key during bootup. You will find Macintosh and Windows icons.

20. That is it. Good luck.
